El Nuevo Comandante – In Brief:

El Nuevo Comandante is a structure especially built to cater to various parameters in relation to horse racing. The El Nuevo Comandante building is situated in the town of Canovanas in Puerto Rico and is located in the eastern region of Carolina and San Juan. The El Nuevo Comandante is a quarter hour drive from the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport and only at a distance of 25 minutes to the east of the Isla Verde Hotel region. It was only in the year 1972 that the El Nuevo Comandante was built as a substitute to the El Comandante building, which was the original building used to cater to the horse racing events at that time.

The original building was built at least forty years before the new structure. The El Nuevo Comandante has become the most important complex with regards to horse racing in the island, which organizes the horse races each Sunday. Apart from the organization of horse races, the El Nuevo Comandante also includes a window for betting.
