Ireland Horse Racing:

When it comes to horse racing, Ireland is a country which has had a rich history in the event of sports. Jump racing is more popular amongst Irish spectators as compared to Flat racing. It is observed that horses owned and bred in Ireland are dominating the present horse racing championships throughout the world. Ireland is a host to a thriving industry of thoroughbred horses, thanks to the favorable tax policy. Coolmore Stud, the world’s largest thoroughbred horse is from Ireland. Many trainers from Ireland have gained worldwide reputation. These include names such as Aidan O’Brien, John Oxx, Dermont Weld and Michael Kinane. Amongst the most successful horse trainers is Vincent O’ Brien who used to provide training to horses in Tipperary, both in the flat horse racing as well as in the National Hunt racing. Some of the horses which were trained by Vincent included Nijinsky II, Alleged, The Minstrel, El Gran Senor and Ballymooss.

French Horse Racing:

Although Ireland has a rich history of horse racing, France has a history of hosting matured horse races. The Prix de l’ Arc de Triomphe is a horse race event having the highest following of horse racing spectators all over the world. It is held every year on the 1st Sunday of the month of October. Another race named Grand Prix de Paris is held in mid July. Apart from these, two other races named Prix Du Jockey Club and the French Classic Races are held in the month of June.
